Real Problem Couple Faces after Intercaste Marriage?
This type of marital union occurs when two people from different castes fall in love with one another and decide to marry. According to the Indian Human Development Survey, just 5% of marriages in India are inter-caste marriages. This demonstrates that inter-caste marriages in India are still contested and stigmatized in the twenty-first century. People in rural India bear the pain of intercaste love marriage significantly more than those in urban India.
